Technology has made it even easier to be able to communicate with people who live all around the world, making connection time possible in a manner of seconds. Sometimes though, this connection through technology is simply not enough for connections to actually be made through the individuals. This stems a concern from a mom who wrote to Amy, who is concerned one of her sons is not connecting with his grandparents.
Amy teaches to be patient and continue to try to draw them together, she is also realistic in understanding her son probably does view his grandparents as strangers. While technology allows one to talk to people on the other side of the world, it is not responsible for building relationships.. Amy suggests actually giving them something to talk about and even sending gifts/arts/etc. when possible. It may take time, but don’t give up on building those relationships.
